Prayer for Revival in the West

I am neither prophet nor scholar; I just love Jesus. If I have prayed in error here, I ask the Lord’s forgiveness and yours.

Lord God, I am overwhelmed by Your complete faithfulness. There is nothing in me that prompts it; Your faithfulness nurtures trust and builds faith in those who know You.

Our world seems to take great pride in its capacity to deceive, to shave and shade truth, to plunder integrity for the promise of personal gain. Abba, we are watching a world racing toward the judgment and eternity of which You promised and forewarned.

We believe Jesus in Your soon-coming. But I am convicted that in the anticipation of You, I have chosen to ignore the upheaval, the dismantling and destruction of this nation in which I have known such blessing. The U.S. is not mentioned among the nations identified in the last days; no countries of the West are. That makes the military buildup taking place now in the MiddleEast more alarming.

Holy Spirit, guide and direct us here in the West. Pour out great boldness and courage upon Your people. Cause us to rise up and unapologetically voice our faith, share the hope of salvation with those who do not know You. Make us steadfast in allegiance and trust to our God and His Word.

Holy Spirit, we must be consumed with the knowledge and belief that this is the day of salvation. Holy Spirit, as You order our steps, go before us preparing hearts and minds to be receptive to Your grace. O God, our God, bring great revival among the nations of the West. Cause wave upon wave of repentance to flow. What is but a spark and a stirring right now, fan it into a raging, far-ranging, fire of renewal in hearts. Today is not the day of final destruction, but salvation. Anoint us thoroughly, send us boldly, and may we know the privilege of seeing millions upon millions come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Great and awesome are You, our Lord Jesus. We trust You, we hear You, and we go forth in Your precious and mighty name.
