True Love

There is an unequivocal beauty and a transcendent quality in God the Father’s love. It is lavish, it is free(ing) and it is everlasting.

• John 14. 6 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

• 1 John 4.16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

• 1 John 4.10-11 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

• John 17.21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us…

• 1 John 4.18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear…

This “true love” of God is magnificently portrayed in God’s Son, Jesus. Jesus willingly suffered and died to remove our shackles, pay our debt in full, and His soon return to take all believers home.

Everything God is; all of His incredible character traits, are magnified in God’s love.

• God saves us from our sin and ourselves, because God loves.

• God heals physically, mentally and emotionally, because God loves.

• God delivers from bondage, whether addictions, demons, or prejudices because God loves.

• God makes a way through trials, challenges, heartaches, persecution and even death because God loves.

Give God the chance to show you His wondrous love. Invite Him in… to your life, your heart, your home and your circumstances. God’s love is true. It is without end. It is yours, if you will receive it.

I will thank You, Lord, among all the people. I will sing Your praises among the nations. For Your unfailing love is as high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May Your glory shine over all the earth. Psalm 57:9–11 (NLT)
